MSHA web site Now Available in Spanish
More than 20,000 pages of mine safety and health information accessible
ARLINGTON, VA- The web site of the U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is now available in Spanish for any viewers who need to see mine safety information in that language.
"It's important that everyone in the mining industry has full and equal access to the useful mine safety and health information available on our web site," said Dave D. Lauriski. "This is part of our on-going effort to assist the mining industry in complying with MSHA requirements and have our information accessible to as many individuals as possible."
In order to see the web site information in Spanish, visitors to MSHA's web site at www.msha.gov can click on the "En Español" button at the top of each page. The web site uses a third party translation engine to actually translate the information that is shown in English on the web site into Spanish on demand.
MSHA's web site currently has more than 20,000 pages of information on mine safety and health available for Internet users. Contents there include compliance assistance information, mine safety and health initiatives and highlights, upcoming mine safety-related events, information on new mine safety and health rules, all agency press announcements and other important safety and health information.
