Metal/Nonmetal National Mine Rescue Hall of Fame 2010 Metal/Nonmetal
National Mine Rescue Contest

Hall of Fame Inductee
FELIX QUINTANA
Felix joined MSHA in 1978 after a brief career in the mining industry. He began his MSHA career as an Education and Training specialist and from there excelled as an inspector, field office supervisor, assistant district manager, district manager and ultimately Administrator for Metal and Nonmetal Mine Safety and Health.

Throughout his colorful career Felix displayed passion for helping others. To that end he ardently supported mine rescue development at the mine, regional, national and international levels. His efforts and support were second to none from the very beginning and included working, designing and facilitating competitions while nurturing Mine Rescue improvement every step of the way. One example of his many contributions was the design and implementation of a practical first aid competition, which coincidently; serves us well to this very day.
