JOHN TEAGUE
John started his life long career with Morton Salt in 1980 as an underground laborer and worked at various positions until he transferred to the surface in 1996. He is currently the electrical planner and storeroom supervisor. John started his mine rescue career in 1983. He began as an alternate, spent 15 years as the first aid specialist, 10 years as the map man, and currently assists with team training. John competed in 27 Southern Regional competitions and 13 national competitions on the rescue team and also first aid team. John and his team mates finished near the top in numerous regional competitions, winning first place twice and also placed near the top in the national competitions.
