LEE GRAHAM Lee began his mining career at Carey Salt in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1962. He entered mine rescue in 1965 and held the positions of team captain and then trainer until he retired in 1988. After retiring from Carey, Lee accepted employment at Hutchinson Community College where he worked as a State Grants Coordinator until his recent retirement from that position. During his tenure at the college, Lee remained active in mine rescue and established the Kansas Shoot-Out Mine Rescue Competition. He served on the Metal and Nonmetal Mine Rescue Advisory Committee and still remains active as a volunteer. |
