2016 National Metal Nonmetal Mine Rescue Contest Rules
In November 2014 and January 2015, the Metal and Nonmetal Rules Committee met to discuss mine rescue contest issues and protocols, including past contest experiences and proposed changes for future contests. As a result, the “2016 Metal and Nonmetal Mine Rescue Contest Rules” booklet was drafted and approved by the Committee to provide needed clarification and make necessary rule and competition format changes. The Rules booklet has been finalized and is intended for use during the upcoming 2015 and 2016 regional mine rescue contest seasons, as well as the 2016 National Contest.
