New Technology for Stockpiles
These videos will show you two new technology methods designed to keep dozer operators safe while working on or near coal stockpiles. The GPS or Global Positioning System method uses a colorful display unit, within easy eye site, to warn the operator when his dozer gets within 25 feet of the feeders. This has proven to be very helpful when operating a dozer during inclement weather, darkness, or fog. The Remote Control Dozer method allows the dozer to work without having a person in the cab. The operator runs the dozer using remote control, from a safe distance away from the stockpile.
