Tanker Safety Diesel fuel flow from a fuel truck's pump to a mine fuel tank can become blocked if the inlet valve is in a closed position, or if the inner liner of the discharge hose separates. These situations can create higher than normal pressures and high diesel fuel temperature, which can cause the fuel discharge hose to slip off the fitting.
