Hall of Fame Inductee
HAROLD "MR. ZODDECO" LEBLANC
Harold started his mine rescue career in 1976 at Avery Island, Louisiana, with International Salt Company, serving as an excellent team equipment man and was active in mine rescue contests until his retirement in 2004. He was instrumental in organizing the benching area for a mine inundation. He played a key role in the Belle Isle disaster: under conditions of heavy smoke he volunteered to be among the first to enter to recover the mine and then to search for missing miners.
