Mac started his mine rescue career in the early 1990's. He was a member of the Doe Run and Asarco mine rescue teams. He joined the Central Plains Cement Co. mine rescue team in 2000 and most recently served as the Team Trainer. Mac participated in many Regional and Metal and Nonmetal National contests. He was a two time National champion in the BG-4 bench competition (1996 & 2004). One of Mac's dreams was to be the first henchman to win a national championship three times. Mac had a special passion for mine rescue and enjoyed talking to members of the other teams at the contests. Mac is sadly missed but always remembered by the mine SCUP community.
