A Long Island man who had been missing for more than a month was found drowned in an Upstate New York park. Hikers discovered the body of the 46-year-old man floating in the entrance of an abandoned mine shaft in Fahnestock State Park in Putnam County. Police said he may have tumbled into the shaft, which is 20 to 30 yards off the main road, while walking at night.
