An 18-year-old died while swimming in a quarry in Bensalem, Pa. The victim tried to swim across the quarry after he jumped off a 14-4oot clliff, but turned around and began treading water and screaming for help about 15 feet from the quarry bank. Other youngsters jumped in but could not rescue him, authorities said. A spokesman for the Aqua America water company said that signs warn people to stay out of the water. However, teenagers frequently gather at the site, according to Middletown police. The teen's body was found about 90 minutes after rescuers were called. (Source: WPVI-TV/Philadelphia)
