While removing material from the walkway, the employee slipped on uneven ground, and the left hand contacted the moving conveyor, which lacked proper guarding. Onsite personnel assisted and transported the employee to a medical facility for stitches on two fingers.

They were negligent in realizing the "knob" of the handle was missing, thus exposing a sharp edge. Their forearm struck the sharp edge lacerating it just below the wrist. 6 sutures were required. They returned to work later the same day.
