2014 TRAM/National Mine Instructors Seminar

This tuition-free seminar provides opportunities for health and safety trainers to improve their training programs with new ideas and new materials.

Workshops

The workshops cover a wide variety of topics pertinent to both metal/nonmetal and coal mine trainers. Participants may select from a variety of workshops to attend. The small group format encourages interaction between the participants and the workshop leaders. Through the years, the training materials competition has fostered a new level of professionalism in the development of training materials. This competition is open to all sources of mining-related training materials. For more information on the training materials competition or to request a competition packet, contact Kevin Malay, competition coordinator, at (304) 256-3539 or email malay.kevin@dol.gov.

The exhibit area features materials developed by MSHA, State Grant recipients, and the mining industry. Most materials are free to seminar participants. For information concerning exhibits, please contact Angela Blair, at (304) 256-3202 or email blair.angela@dol.gov
