This photo shows the clamped fuel injection lines extending to the injectors, a second fuel cutoff valve and filter, fuel injection pump, hydraulically activated fuel rack shutoff valve, and the seal wire for preventing unauthorized fuel adjustments. The hydraulically activated fuel shutoff valve is used to shut off fuel supply to the engine when the overtemperature sensor(s) or the low water level shutdown valve in the scrubber activates. Each of these devices when activated will, in turn, vent the hydraulic pressure in the cylinder, shutting off the fuel rack, and causing engine shutdown. The fuel adjustment setting was determined during the engine approval process. The seal wire must be maintained on the fuel adjustment setting compartment.
