Permissible equipment is required to be equipped with a valve operable from the operator’s compartment to be used to shut off the intake air supply to the engine thereby causing the engine to shut down. The valve described will be shown in a subsequent slide. A means provided in the operator’s compartment to activate the valve is shown. When activated, the intake air valve is mechanically closed shutting off airflow to the engine’s combustion chambers. |
