In addition to some of those components shown previously, this view emphasizes the location of the exhaust system and its associated components including the scrubber, exhaust pipe, and water makeup tank. The water makeup tank is used to replenish the supply of water to the scrubber during operation of the machine. NOTE: 30 CFR Part 36 requires that the machine contain enough water for at least 2-2/3 hours of operation at full load. This is enough water for an 8-hour shift at one-third load factor.
